The Perth Racecourse opened in the year 1908. However, the tradition of horse racing in the area of Perth has been taking since 1613; the racecourse is situated in the parkland of Scone Palace, thanks to Lord Mansfield who gifted his land so that more people could enjoy the sport.

The course is ten furlongs in circumference and is right-handed. There are eight fences in a circuit, and the water jump is located right in front of the grandstand. The hurdle course is on the inside and goes away from the stands, but gradually, it switches to the inside. So by having a ticket for the grandstand, you can be sure of a great view of all the action.
