The 156th annual Perth Agricultural Show is heading to South Inch Park on 2nd and 3rd August 2019 for another much-anticipated country show. Every year the city of Perth prepares for the extravaganza of agricultural, equestrian and food fun, which is attended by thousands of locals and tourists. The farming community of Perthshire and beyond flock to the city for the two-day show. An event which showcases the finest livestock of the year.
In recent years, the Perth Agricultural Show has expanded beyond just agriculture activities and now includes a vast variety of entertainment, as well as trade stands of food and drink.
A Family Day Out
As the show has soared in popularity, it has become a wonderful day out for all the family. There is a chance to see the farm animals up close, which is an excellent activity for children of all ages. The Grand Parade of Livestock is a favourite amongst all visitors of the show and sees some of the best livestock of the year take to the stage.
Saturday’s Main Ring attraction has not yet been confirmed for 2019 but is also sure to be a great event. A mixture of different trade stands offer everything from delicious sweets to massive tractors for children to enjoy.
Local Craftsmen
The Perth Agricultural Show has become a platform for local artisan craftsmen and women to showcase their unique work. Perth is a county with a rich tapestry, and the SWRI and local businesses flock to the Agricultural Show to present and sell their trades.
