Architecturally stunning, Perth Concert Hall offers a sophisticated, modern setting for its extensive program of events, including art, dance, drama and music performances whether in the auditorium which seats 1,200 people or in its performance spaces across the building.
The construction project of Perth Concert Hall started in 2003 and was completed during the summer of 2004 at the cost of £12.5 million. It was opened in the same year by Her Majesty Elizabeth II. Perth Concert Hall is state of the art, with incredible acoustics and flexibility to ensure it can be home to a variety of events and because of this, it won the 2007 Scottish Design Awards for Best Building for Public Use.
It is considered an excellent venue for all the music events or speech as it provides a range of acoustic environments. While it is commonly used for business purposes, such as political party conferences, the sound quality attracts many musicians from all manner of genres. It is the home to the annual Perth Concert Series of Scottish Orchestras.
The program at Perth Concert Hall is truly diverse, so you are sure to find an event that suits your tastes while the building will impress and delight.
During your visit, you can enjoy a range of refreshments from the Glasshouse restaurant, which offers a pre-theatre menu or simply pop in for lunch or dinner to see the building in its glory. The restaurant is bright and spacious, offering the perfect place to sit and watch the world go by over a relaxing meal or simply to grab a bite to eat before a performance.
