Georgina and Remo

My first encounter with Georgina and Remo was in the fall of 2010.
Though neither of us is Danish, my wife and I reside in Denmark and last fall, when we decided to be married in my wife’s home country of Scotland, my wife suggested that we book a night at the Sunbank House Hotel, where she had stayed before, and implore Georgina and Remo to take care of our wedding party, which we were planning for the following spring. My initial impression of the cozy, well kept Victorian house was very positive, but the setting itself was quickly surpassed by the jovial, eloquent air of the proprietor: Remo!
When we spoke to Remo and Georgina about our wedding plans, in the hotel’s lovely lounge, they were very forthcoming with pragmatic solutions for our sometimes less tangible wedding wishes. We left the Sunbank House Hotel with the feeling that our wedding plans were in the capable hands of two warm individuals.
Six months late, we returned to the Sunbank House Hotel in the company of our wedding entourage, for a stay of four days. At the recommendation of Remo and Georgina, we had booked the entire hotel for the duration of our stay. Among our party of 14 persons, 5 countries were represented and the Sunbank House Hotel staff managed to exceed the expectations of the entire, diverse group. Remo’s Scottish kitchen with its succulent Italian twist was outstanding; Georgina’s careful eye for the details never faltered and the general ambience created by the two young, southern European waitresses carried the warm waft of Mediterranean hospitality at its best. The bartender, John, maintained that relaxed dignity, which seems to us foreigners so uniquely Scottish, the whole of every evening, to everyone’s delight.
My wife and I are both very grateful for all of the work which the Sunbank House Hotel put into the success of our wedding. Remo, Georgina, John and the girls made every mealtime special and all of the rooms were beautifully done up, from the time of our arrival to our departure.
